[ He steps away. Well, she's already here... It'd be rude to deny entry or tell her no, right? He's tempted for half of a second, because he already feels like he's said a lot. ]
[ He closes the door once she's inside, moving into the living room area of his apartment. He steps inside. He's in some baggy pants that stop just above his prosthetic, and an oversized sweatshirt. Compared to his normal clothes? This is pretty dressed down so it's probably obvious he was mostly just expecting to stay in and be alone tonight. ]
Not particularly.
[ He takes the bag anyway and moves towards the kitchen area of his apartment. His apartment is plain - easy. Quiet. ]
[Fie goes over to sit on the couch and look around. Maybe some shelves with a few books? No idea. Either way, she's not really commenting. It just seems fitting for him somehow.]
[ He doesn't have a lot of possessions right now. His clothes - which are all neatly tucked away in his room, and a couple of books which he is using to help himself study. This is not the home of someone who thinks of this as permanent. But, he's never been much one for busy spaces, anyway. He likes things clean. ]
Alright.
[ He takes a seat at one end of the couch, every intention to keep a little distance between the two of them. He's not sure what he's about to be expecting here, nor what she wants to know or ask. He already said what he wanted to say. What else was there? He glances towards her. ]
[Fie actually falls silent now, feeling comfortable with that. Maybe she's waiting for him to talk first or maybe she'll bring it up eventually. Either way, that's all he gets for now.]
[ He's staring at her, as if expecting her to say something. He doesn't know what she wants or needs. Or what she's trying to find out from him. He doesn't know what to make of it. It's not like he readily opens up or shares things. So - he'll just quietly stare for a few moments. ]
[It almost sounds like she hasn't even considered the possibility or that him suggesting it suddenly has it occur to her. In fact, Fie pulls out a book from her bag and opens it.]
[ Awkward, long stare at Fie. He's not really sure what's happening here. He leans in to look at the book that she's reading. What does she want? He doesn't know how to approach this, either. And he doesn't really want to talk about anything, as he feels like he's said a lot. ]
[Fie's gone back to her book, actually reading the thing because it's something that interests her. And it also keeps up appearances here. She looks over at him again, neutral expression still in place.]
[ Thanks, he hates this. Continued, long stare at Fie. Though, he doesn't say anything for awhile. He doesn't know what she wants j/k he totally knows why she's here. He gets up, moves to the kitchen to fetch an apple that she had gotten and cuts it into pieces. He returns with a bowl full of apple slices.
How long can he keep this up with Fie?
Well, as long as he wants. He offers her a piece without saying a word. Just, holds the bowl out in front of her book. ]
He makes no attempt to keep it quiet or low. It's a loud, annoyed sounding sigh. He knows what she wants, he thinks?
In part.
Maybe, he could give her a little. Just enough. There's just some things he doesn't want to talk about. Some things he wants to keep for himself because he doesn't like sympathy or empathy towards where he's from. Louis has power now at home. He's a Beastar nominee, he's tamed lions, his best friend is a wolf.
But who he was makes him look so weak.
It takes awhile, but when he stands, he takes the now empty bowl, turns towards Fie, and places his hand gently on her head, messing her hair just a little. ]
This.
[ He offers. ]
My dad does this when he's both disappointed and worried about me. He has since the day he brought me home.
[ And, after a moment, he pulls his hand away to return the empty bowl to the kitchen. ]
[Well that, of all things, does get her attention in an almost instinctual way. She stops and looks up immediately, looking almost confused for a hot second. Then she blinks and regains her previous expression. Nice job.]
Rean does that a lot, too. Most of the time without thinking. It's a weird habit, but not a bad one.

It's later.

Later in the week. Month, year?
[ Wait. ]
I just moved in here.
no subject
[Fie casually shrugs.]
A week ago. I got bored and followed you... [She pauses to think.] Friday. Can I come in now?

[ He steps away. Well, she's already here... It'd be rude to deny entry or tell her no, right? He's tempted for half of a second, because he already feels like he's said a lot. ]
Alright, come in, then.

[He gets a thumbs up as she passes him in the doorway.
Look, she brought... stuff. She has a bag of something.]
You hungry? I brought fruit.

Not particularly.

Consider it a housewarming present or something.

Maybe's not an answer, Fie.
no subject
It can be.
no subject
It isn't, though! It's fully non-committal.
[ Fie can definitely sense the annoyance? Yeah. That's exactly it. ]
What do you want?
no subject
You seem stressed right now.

What are you hoping to hear here today? I hope you're prepared to sleep on my couch tonight. Did you bring a change of clothes?
[ Yeah. Now he's feeling... uppity about it. ]
